Under general supervision, the Classroom Floater provides quality care to children in a safe, healthy and nurturing environment. Works flexibly within the daily schedule to anticipate and respond to the needs of the Center including, but not limited to, staff coverage in classrooms, clerical assistance, cleaning duties and food preparation. Understands and implements naturalistic intervention strategies to assist children with special needs. Ensures that the center meets or exceeds governing regulations.


  • High School Diploma, GED or foreign equivalent

  • Per the CA Community Care Licensing board, Transcripts for High School Diploma must be provided

  • 2 years of experience

  • Current BLS/CPR certification (issued by American Heart Association)

  • First Aid Certification

  • 2 years teaching experience in an early childhood setting

  • 24 Early Childhood Education Units

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English


  • Associate's Degree

  • 3 years experience
