Under general direction, the Construction Projects Department (CPD) Supervisor assists project managers with project investigations and provides coordination between facility operations and construction projects. Reviews design and construction documents, and works with the architect, engineers and contractors to implement capital and non-capital projects. Develops and monitors department operational budgets and creates and monitors par level purchasing programs.
Generates financial reports and performs annual evaluations. Conducts coaching and counseling sessions and imposes disciplinary action as necessary; recruit and develop staff, develop/implement training programs, coordinate activities with Human Resources, Benefits, and Labor Relations; conduct code searches to resolve compliance issues. Reports directly to Director of the Construction Projects Department.
A Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Five (5+) or more years of experience managing construction projects in a healthcare setting.
Certification in a specialty skilled trade.
Strong ability to read blueprints.
Proven experience working with OSHPD and their inspectors.
Three (3) years of experience in a supervisor or management role.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
