DESCRIPTION

Under the general supervision of the Imaging Services Scheduling Manager, the Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling procedures/examinations for MRI, CT, Diagnostic, Breast Imaging, and Ultrasound. Responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Imaging Services scheduling systems - RIS, PCIS, and EPIC. Serves as a liaison for external and internal clinical contacts. Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system and provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff. Responsible for gathering information and screening patients over the phone.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Must possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.

  • Recent demonstrated experience in a similar role and setting.

  • Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent communication skills.

  • Must be detail-oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in scheduling imaging procedures/exams.

  • Medical Terminology with emphasis in Radiology.

  • Knowledge of Radiology exams.

  • Experience working in a large healthcare setting.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

  • Must be able to work various locations based on business needs.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.
