Summary

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for all general radiology exams within SRS Radiology. The Radiologic Technologist produces high quality exams in compliance with department policy, procedures and guidelines. Demonstrates commitment to providing safe, efficient quality care. Provides pre and post procedure education to patient and family. Verifies physician orders and utilizes RIS correctly to complete all paperwork. Adheres to all Sharp Healthcare practices and policies. Follows Sharp Behavior Standards and AIDET. Complies with all regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and other mandatory training within established time frames.

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers offers radiology services at 14 convenient locations throughout San Diego County. Our services are provided with state of the art digital and CR imaging equipment sent and stored in PACS. We offer services for General, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, Mammography, Ultrasonography, CT and MRI imaging needs. Our Radiology staff are highly trained and certified to meet the needs of San Diego Community. Location

This positions is located in Downtown San Diego but will float to various Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers throughout San Diego County

Hours

4 or 8-hour shifts: per diem position to work variable shifts; 8:00 am - 10:30 pm; Weekend shifts range from 6 - 8 hours. First shift starts at 8:00 am. Last shift starts 2:00 pm and ends upon completion of Urgent Care. Flexibility is key for this position; May be assigned AMs, PMs Weekends and Holidays. Call is required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology

  • Current CRT licensure

  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association

  • Knowledge of all general Radiology exams

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • ARRT

  • One or more years of recent experience as Radiologic Technologist
